Gorgeous cover for this book, as usually is for Carrie Ann Ryan’s books, but Storm and Everly’s story is also absolutely amazing.
“Inked Expressions” is the seventh book in the “Montgomery Ink” series, yet I read one of the most beautiful pairs in this series and I was deeply involved with them.
Storm is one of the member of Montgomery family, one of their sons – in this group composed mostly by sexy, dark and protective men – but he also has a twin brother, Wes, with whom he has a typical “love and hate” bond. I can’t deny I have a soft spot for them because it’s the kind of relationship I see living close with my twins every day, a mysterious and fascinating experience and, in reality, I always hope understand more them through some books what they’re thinking, but it’s a pity illusion and I think it will always remain their secret.
Storm and Wes are like dogs and cats, they always tease each other, yet they can’t stay away, knowing, without words, when something is wrong in the life of the other one.
Everly is the other person who, with the passing of time, has become a constant presence in Storm’s life. Everly was Jackson’s wife, Storm’s best friend, disappeared in a tragic accident the very night she was giving birth to their children, yes … another twin pair. It’s a real tragedy, but Everly was never alone while facing this moment, because Storm has never let it happen.
From that moment on, he has always been present at her side, 24/7, to help her raise her children and to be a male figure for them, while they’re growing up.
The relationship between Everly and Storm is deep, full of respect and trust, but crystallized in the limbo “platonic friendship” by one of those rules that are not usually told, but which exist, and according with them is absolutely forbidden to have a story with the widow of your best friend and on the contrary, dating the best firend of your deceased husband.
A situation that in the long run has begun to create some discomfort and misunderstanding between them, as both of them are struggling against guilt and an intense physical attraction.
It may seem like an easy story, but it’s not. Somehow it will be the “very dead” Jackson to move things between them and I assure you there will be a lot of surprises.
In addition to this, some of Storm’s life secrets will be unveiled, as it’s time for him to come face to terms with his past, if he doesn’t want to ruin his bond with Wes and his family .
One of the things I liked most in Storm and Everly’s story is how they have managed things between, slow, but also without hiding too much what they feel.
Apart from everything, let me say then nothing is more hot than a man like Storm who starts to cuddle a sleepy baby or knows how to calm him down and handle him in difficult moments.
I know, time has passed for me as well or maybe my priorities have changed, but if you are going to put on the castle’s tower the Prince Charming and Storm, guess who would I drop down? Right that one!
The next book *ringing bells* will be about: Wes and Jillian, and the premises they have created during this book make me think there will be real fireworks, as they can’t stand each other in the same room for more than a few minutes … Very, very interesting.

Molto, molto interessante.
