About FRACTURED SILENCE
The Talon Pack continues with a dark secret that could shatter the future of the Packs, or save them all.
Parker Jamenson is the son of three Packs, the sole mediator between every Pack in the United States and Europe, and…he’s dying. He knows he doesn’t have much left in him and is in desperate need of a mate. But with the new and unyielding changes thanks to the Moon Goddess, he might not have as much time as he thinks.
Brandon Brentwood is the Omega of the Talon Pack and the youngest of his family. He’s not only one of the famed triplets; he’s also the most secretive. There’s a good reason for that, however, and when a shocking revelation meshes the past and present in a very unexpected way, he’ll look to not only Parker but also a disgraced human to save them all.
Avery Montag knows she’s the daughter of a traitor and doesn’t have much to give the wolves in the way of atonement. But she’ll do everything she can to pay for her father’s sins and find a way to end the war between the humans and the wolves.
When the three turn to each other in a time of unrest and for vastly different reasons, temptation burns and seduction beckons. Only, the past, present, and future are never as solid as they seem, and the path the trio thought to travel may just vanish before they’re ready.

Avery studied her hands, and Brandon did the only thing he could at that moment— he reached out and put one of his hands on hers. The connection was immediate, warmth and a shocking intensity he couldn’t quite name shooting through him. Avery’s gaze flashed to his before going to Parker as the other man gripped her other hand.
Brandon swallowed hard, the circuit the three of them made almost overwhelming.
Yet his wolf refused to tell him if they were potential mates. How could this be? He’d never felt anything like this, and yet he was in the dark.
Something had happened to the mating bonds, and he needed to figure out what that was. But before he did, he needed to ensure that Avery was okay.
“The full moon is in two days,” Brandon said softly, bringing Avery’s gaze back to his. He could find peace in those eyes, he knew, if he only looked long enough— if she only gave him enough time.
“You’ll change then,” Parker added. “There’s no way around it. Are you ready for that?”
She met both of their gazes. “I don’t have a choice, do I?”
Brandon frowned. “You don’t.” Anger boiled in his veins once more. “Not anymore. A wolf not of ours made that choice for you, and we manifested it into being so you would breathe again.”
Avery looked down at their clasped hands, concentration on the parts of her face he could see. “I said I would help you… help your people, your Packs. Now, I guess I will help myself, as well.”
At her words, Brandon’s wolf howled in respect, and his gaze shot up to meet Parker’s. The other man’s eyes glowed gold, and their wolves reached out as if needing one another for a purpose Brandon had yet to name.
This woman, this wolf to-be, was so damned strong. Stronger than the two others in this room, and he had a feeling she didn’t even know it. No matter what happened next, what happened between the three of them, he knew Avery would go on to do great things. She was Pack now, one of them.
She was wolf.
And a small part of him whispered that one day soon… she might be his.
With this fifth book, it comes the end of an important part for the “Talon Pack” series and I would say the author did it everything spectacularly and almost with an apocalyptic scenario.
The series will go on with other stories, but with “Fractured Silence” we are at a real turning point.
Thinking about the first book that started the series, I must admit the vicissitudes inside and outside the Talon Pack have been really great, with twists and incredible changes.
Changes that have come in so many respects: the very life of the Talon Pack, the relationships between humans and wolves which become more and more difficult until they get to the much-feared war, the increasingly intricate and close relationships between the Talon and Redwood, because of the mating of couples who created cross-bonds. There have also been new struggles for the members of the pack in discovering their mates. In short, things have always been quite moving.
The protagonists of this story once again are not a couple, but a triad, made up of two different wolves, Brandon and Parker, and a human, Avery.
Their story is complicated, also because of the roles of Parker, mediator among all the different packs of shifters on the planet and Brandon, Talon’s Omega. They ‘re two important figures for everyone, to keep the precarious balance in their territories, but both of them, for various reasons, are fading. Only by finding their mates they could save themselves from their destiny. Between Parker and Brandon there were some precedents that have always made the things awkward between them, quite straightforward and they’re completely at loss of words when they realize they are feeling an irresistible attraction for each other, and for Avery too, the human daughter of their worst enemy.
They have no clue about the true nature of this attraction, the ties between wolves and their maes are no longer clear, they are less easy to spot and the tension and the danger of an imminent war makes everything more complicated.
In this time of confusion and destabilization, the story of Parker, Avery and Brandon has its own personal dimension. The three, after the initial surprise, want to take as much time as possible to discover the true nature of their bond, first trying, and then making their choices for the future. It’s a relationship full of passion and complicity, intense and sweet at the same time.
The dynamics between Brandon, Parker and Avery are incredibly simple, thanks to their instinctive loyalty that pushes them always to find the way that doesn’t hurt the feelings of one another.
Along with their story, we can see what happens to the rest of the pack. The presence of Gideon, the Alpha and Brandon’s brother, is always strong and I enjoyed his presence, because I’ve always loved his character.
It’s a series in which the author has let her imagination free to create a reality very unique, in which the paranormal world of the shifters joins the magic, ancient prophecies and a fate influenced by the will of the Moon Goddess. As I said earlier, in this story, in addition to the romance part of the triad, there’s also the real surprising face-off between humans and wolves, which has an important impact on the entire Talon Pack and everything was amazing thought and written by the author .
This novel is beautiful, really beautiful and I can’t imagine how is going to change the future of the Talon Pack.
