Tutto è iniziato con un concerto a cui non avrei mai voluto partecipare…

Nick Fletcher è un ragazzo arrogante, bello e cattivo, il tipo in grado di attirarmi come una falena tra le fiamme. È anche una rockstar di fama mondiale, intoccabile per una studentessa universitaria in difficoltà come me.

Una decisione impulsiva da parte mia, una risposta feroce da parte di Nick, e ci ritroviamo catapultati l’una nel mondo dell’altro. E a lui non piace per niente.

Per lui, sono un’intrusa che lavora al suo tour estivo. Una che non sa tenere chiusa la sua bocca impertinente. C’è qualcosa di innegabile che ribolle tra noi, e non è odio. Ma dietro l’arroganza di Nick c’è un uomo distrutto e non sono più disposta a lasciarmi travolgere da uomini incasinati.

Qualunque cosa accada, quando questo tour sarà finito andrò via. Anche se il fuoco che accendiamo brucia più del caldo sole estivo.

Faccio una premessa: non amo particolarmente i libri con protagonisti le rockstar ma devo dire che questo romanzo, primo volume della serie Blue is the color, mi è piaciuto. È stata una lettura piacevole, con uno stile molto scorrevole e dei personaggi di tutto rispetto e non solo la coppia protagonista. Tutti i componenti del gruppo sono interessanti, sono stati ben costruiti e presentano aspetti da approfondire.

Nick è la voce del gruppo, il libro è dedicato a lui e a Dalia la ragazza che non si piegherà al suo modo di fare arrogante ma sarà in grado di tenergli testa, e riuscirà anche a vedere il vero Nick con le sue fragilità e la sua forza.

Dalia non ama la musica dei Blue ma accompagna volentieri la sorella minore – che invece è una loro grande fan – a vederli dal vivo. Il concerto viene interrotto per un malore di uno dei componenti. Dalia riprende con il cellulare la scena e la pubblica fraintendendo un malore con troppo alcool. La reazione di Nick e dei fan è uno tsunami. Viene insultata, perde il lavoro. La band la cerca, ci sono scuse reciproche e la manager le offre un lavoro: seguirà la band in tour per due mesi.

Ho detto che ci sono scuse, sì, ma non tra Nick e Dalia. Il rancore è vivo, non si sopportano e passano ogni minuto a stuzzicarsi. Ma si sa, la convivenza forzata e i chilometri macinati insieme creano occasioni dove l’astio lascia posto alla fiducia, alla conoscenza e all’attrazione.

Fisico da pin up, capelli rossi e lentiggini, Dalia è il tipo perfetto per Nick, ragazzone dagli occhi verdi e profondi e dalla voce magica.

I due si avvicinano, e le difese lentamente si abbassano fino a quando, da vero romance, il lieto fine sarà esplosivo…

Una storia d’amore delicata e passionale, con due protagonisti divertenti, ironici e frizzanti.

Dalia ha la lingua tagliente ma l’animo sensibile, riesce a cogliere gli aspetti nascosti dei ragazzi della band ma Nick… lui è qualcosa di più, una sfida, un uomo a cui non piegarsi, un uomo da scoprire. Nick non la vuole intorno ma non può fare a meno di volerla, cercarla perdersi in lei. La passione brucia e l’incendio  esplode e… a voi il resto!

Come dicevo prima, anche gli altri personaggi del libro hanno il loro peso, sono comprimari di spessore, che ci mostrano già i tratti del loro carattere e nei prossimi libri li conosceremo meglio.

Una serie che consiglio anche se non amate particolarmente le rockstar, perchè quando una storia è bella merita sempre una possibilità!
